This allows you to communicate with the device over the Internet or intranet through your web browser. Internet Services uses the embedded web server on the device. To Reset the System Software Using the Remote Control Panel in CentreWare Internet Services ( CWIS): NOTE: The printer will not be available for printing, or viewable through CentreWare Internet Services ( CWIS), until the Network Controller completes the reboot process and reconnects to the network. Select the Reset button on the Software Reset Confirmation screen.The Machine Status screen will be displayed. Press the Machine Status button on the Control Panel.For additional information, refer to Login or Logout as a System Administrator. Press the Log In/Out button on the Control Panel. To reset the system software from the Control Panel: Perform a Software Reset From the Remote Control Panel in CentreWare Internet Services ( CWIS) Perform a Software Reset From the Device Control Panel Select your preferred method to perform a software reset. IMPORTANT: Using Software Resets to restart the printer is faster and wastes fewer consumables than powering the printer off and on.Ī software reset may be performed from the Control Panel of the device itself or using the remote control panel in CentreWare Internet Services ( CWIS). NOTE: There is a video available at the end of this solution.ĬAUTION: Depending on the state of the printer, a software reset may delete all pending jobs from the print queue.
